Messages in Ice Sculptures
The 36th World Snow Festival took place this January in Grindelwald. Artists coming from various countries have displayed their ice sculptures in the heart of the iconic Swiss mountain village. Especially when night falls, the gigantic sculptures under colorful lighting against the glorious cold of starry night speak a message of season and infinity. The symbols of imaginative snow, the cycles of seasons, the force of nature all at once bring us down the path of exploring visual formation and wholeness of creativity.

Art Geneva Take Away

Art Geneva
Geneva again hosted numerous art galleries from all over the world for Geneva Art. The crowd was bigger and there was more interaction everywhere. Artists talks took up core presence on the exhibition floor where thematic discussions were conducted alongside with art exhibitions. This year, there was art and there was design, all together. A large area was designated for designers only, from interior design to antiques. This is a trend where art meets design. It was interesting to set foot into an indoor installation that echoes nature and autumn feel with dry leaves falling down on the ground, with beautiful lighting creating shadowed walls of bamboo trees. Art Geneva is now over, but the creative spirit of Swiss nature is still around. Until next Art Geneva!
