Blue Tulips Symphony

I am writing an art impression piece about Sebastiaan Bremer’s recent painting of Parkiet Tulip Blue Parrot, 2015 - on the first days of October, the beginning of autumn. This is now a perfect time to plant tulips, sowing a germ of eternity, while awaiting next spring.

The feeling of full bloom, carefully crafted and hand printed, sufficiently lifts one up in the air of celebration. An utter admiration of a splendid - but not overly distant - beauty draws me one step closer to enjoy the artwork. At a first quick look, one would think that was the way white thin air moves in the rainbow of a late afternoon, or perhaps a song of blue stretches under a starry night. When a “flying Dutchman” drifts in the movement of tulip petals, we know an adventure in floral pleasure is presenting its magnificence. A Blue Tulip Symphony resurrects in the air of dignity and magic desire, reciting a legend of blue tulips dressing up in silver lining. An ambiance of elite, yet somewhat understated, circulates in the maturity of uprightness and attentiveness of petal movement. This is not a normal tulip, not in the stereotype of tulips and peonies. That usual airy lightness of joyful bliss is now transformed into the world of wondrous fairy tale.

I step back in awe of vivid imagination. The remaining blank space dances upwards in a festive hot air tulip balloon voyage. Swaying with tiny dots of playful colors makes me feel anew. This every element of pleasant versatility sublimates the deeply-rooted symbol of blossomed tulips into a surreal symphony of floating music and color.
